Super Simple Pan Tilapia

Even though Jorryn is a huge fish eater, I’ve never been too fond of anything that comes from the water. {Except shrimp!} Since we are working to eat much healthier, I decided to give tilapia a try since I’ve heard how easy it is to cook and how it doesn’t taste fishy.

  • 3 tilapia filets
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • salt and pepper to taste

I found some ready to cook tilapia in the freezer section of the grocery store. In a pan over medium heat, I melted two tablespoons of butter. I added the tilapia {still frozen} and sprinkled with salt, pepper, garlic salt and paprika. I cooked for three to four minutes on both sides until the fish was completely cooked and flaked apart.

I served the fish with brown rice and steamed broccoli. It was a HUGE hit. All of us loved it, and it didn’t taste fishy at all. It totally took on the taste of the seasonings and tasted fantastic. I was also excited that it was so easy to prepare, all while being so healthy. I would definitely recommend stepping outside your comfort zone and trying it!
