Honey Pesto Chicken {In the Crockpot}

pesto honey chicken

Honey Pesto Chicken.

So this week, I tried a new recipe with random ingredients I had on hand. Sometimes, that turns into a total flop. But sometimes it turns into a super tasty meal — which thankfully is exactly what happened this time! πŸ™‚

I used my small crockpot for this recipe since I only made three breasts. But you could definitely increase it for more servings.

  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons basil pesto
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 4 tablespoons honey

I put three frozen chicken breasts in the crockpot and turned it on high. Then I mixed the pesto, garlic and honey together and poured over the chicken. It cooked for about four hours.

The chicken turned out moist, flavorful and delicious. The guys loved it! Even Jorryn, who is a picky eater sometimes. If you are looking for another great recipe to try in your crockpot, I’d definitely recommend trying this!

    I absolutely LOVE my crock pot. It is definitely something I can’t live without. Unfortunately, I’m not confident or creative enough to just whip something up with no recipe, like you. Great job! Will have to try this one out πŸ™‚

      Oh, I bet you could, Julie! I should start posting some of my flops πŸ˜‰ They don’t’ always turn out like you plan! I hope your family enjoys this recipe as much as we do!

    Could I use agave nectar instead of honey?

      Yes, I’m sure you can! I haven’t tried it that way so the amounts would probably be different. Thank you for stopping by!
