Baking in Your Bread Machine: Honey Oat Bread.
I am all about easy. With three little boys underfoot, I don’t have time for long, complicated recipes. That doesn’t mean that I want to skimp on taste though! When I saw a recipe for oat pull apart rolls on Money Saving Mom, I thought they looked delicious.. but that they would take more time than I could give them. So I tweaked the recipe a little, used my bread machine and loved the result! Here’s how to make this amazing bread!
- 2 ¼ cups hot water
- 3 Tablespoons butter, cubed
- 2 Tablespoons honey
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- 2 cups quick oats
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 packages instant active yeast (1 ½ Tablespoons)
- Combine all ingredients in a 2-pound bread machine in the order listed. I have used this recipe on both the 80 minute setting and the regular setting, which takes three hours in my machine.
