As a mom, at the end of a busy day, do you ever find yourself munching on random foods instead of eating dinner like a normal person?

This is me. Especially on nights when my husband isn’t home for dinner. Feeding the boys, doing dishes, and bedtime leaves little time to have an actual meal. So, in the quiet of bedtime bliss, I often find myself munching on random foods instead of eating an actual meal.

Thankfully, this week instead of a boring snack, I had some terrific Old World Gourmet products to try! OWG was founded by Deanna Sullivan in 2001. Deanna wanted to change her career path and be her own boss. As a result, she launched her company and has been growing ever since! OWG offers snacks plus alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink mixes in a variety of great flavors!  The company is based here in the United States. I love that not only is it based in the US, all the products are created and hand assembled here and the company is completely women owned and operated! You can find their products at over 50 fine retailers around the States, as well as their permanent store at AmerciasMart in Atlanta. Plus, you can shop online! Visit them on Facebook and Twitter too!

First, I tried the Cracker Smack. It was pretty easy to mix. They provide the powdered mix {shown above} and the mixing bag.

You pour 1 1/2 cups of olive oil in the bag and mix with the Cracker Smack powder. Then, add four sleeves of crackers and shake it over them. You leave the mix in the bag overnight and then transfer to an airtight storage container after 24 hours.

I think I used a little too much olive oil as the crackers were pretty saturated. However, they still tasted good. It definitely has a kick of an after taste with the spices in it! I’m not a huge fan of spicy, but this was a pretty good mix that wasn’t over powering. I thought it paired REALLY well with the two lemonade choices I received! 🙂

I received both Raging Raspberry and Perfectly Peach Lemonade which are non-alcoholic. They are both very easy to mix and make two quarts per box.

The flavor is terrific! Not too sweet and not too tart. They were also a crowd pleaser with our entire family! Zane especially loved the raspberry flavor and requested more several times.
