Boxed Book Series for Boys We Love

Boxed Book Series for Boys We Love.

Picking up a boxed book series is an easy way to get several great books at once! When we find a series we love, I try to get the entire series right away so that Jorryn can continue to enjoy it! Here are some of our favorites right now:

We love Magic Tree House Boxed Set, Books 5-8. The stories are easy to follow and I like that they can transport us around the world with their adventures. It’s also easy for me to read aloud to the boys, or to hand over to Jorryn for some reading on his own.

I adored The Little House Books: A Pioneer Chronicle when I was growing up. I’m happy that even though I’m blessed with boys, I can still enjoy classic stories with them! Jorryn is intrigued by the idea of pioneers and the adventures and dangers they faced. Which makes Little House a great option for us!

The Encyclopedia Brown Box Set has four books packed with mysteries to solve! These are some of Jorryn’s favorite to read! I would also recommend checking out the rest of the series if your kids like mysteries!

I love to read The Boxcar Children aloud to the boys! These classic stories never get old and I’m looking forward to Zane and Shay being able to enjoy them even more as they get older! I like that I don’t have to question the content of these books and I can feel comfortable sending Jorryn to read them on his own.

Jorryn got a huge kick out of this clever The Flat Stanley Collection Box Set. He read these on his own and I loved hearing him giggle as he read!

There is nothing that compares to the amount of laughter that comes from Jorryn when he’s enjoying these books! The New Captain Underpants Collection is sure to have your son in stitches. This is one series I avoid reading out loud.. I’ll leave the silly, gross boy stuff to the kids on their own! 🙂

I can remember reading the Chronicles of Narnia Box Set with my mom when I was little. It’s been a pleasure to re-visit it as an adult and read it to out loud to the boys!

I have lost track of the number of times Jorryn has re-read Diary of a Wimpy Kid Box of Books. It’s one of his favorites and he laughs just as hard as the first time every time he reads them!

What is your family’s favorite book series?

And finally….

I might have boys, but I am still happily reading The Complete Anne of Green Gables Boxed Set to the boys. I’m surprised that Jorryn is actually really enjoying it! 🙂 We also watched Anne of Green Gables on DVD two weeks ago. After all these years, I still love it!

My favorite set as a child was The Chronicles of Narnia – I read the series so many times that the books were almost falling apart. Both of my kids have read the series also.

OK…I’m showing my age now – gulp- but my favorite series as a kid was the Sue Barton series. She was nurse – I think there were 7 books, and the 1st was written in 1939. OMG!
