Our Favorite Toddler Books.
We love to read in our home! It’s a joy to share my own love of reading with my boys and see them enjoy stories as well! Reading habits start young with our boys. Even if they don’t always like to sit still and look at the pictures, I still get out the books and read through them aloud while they play.
These are some of our favorite toddler books that have become classics in our home!
Dear Zoo is a flap book that gets the boys involved with the reading plus has cute pictures! We like to pause and make lots of animal sounds while we read!
Peek-A Who? has colorful images and fun rhymes that help keep the boys engaged.
I love Sandra Boynton books with her darling illustrations and The Going-To-Bed Book is no exception! We have read this nightly for a loooong time!
Big Enough for a Bed has become a nightly ritual lately as we work on getting Zane transitioned into a big boy bed.
Where Is Baby’s Belly Button? has been read to all three boys! We like pausing and finding the body parts not only under the book flaps but on each other as well!
The Very Hungry Caterpillar is classic and still thoroughly enjoyed in our home!
There is something so special about their first Bible! We really enjoy The Toddler’s Bible with it’s beautiful colors and simple versions of stories.
Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb ends in giggles and lots of thumb drumming every time we read it, which is often!
The Barnyard Boogie: Original Puppet Book was gifted to Jorryn when he was only a year old and is still a household favorite. I get into character and do all the animal voices. The kids LOVE this book!
Since we are into cranes, dump trucks, and heavy machinery around here, Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site is very popular with my boys!
